Calling All 14 to 16 year olds.

Derbyshire ASA are planning to run a young volunteer program called.
‘Leading the Lanes’
It is hoped to run between September 2017 and March 2018.

 
‘Leading the Lanes’ will run over two days with attendees then committing to a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering within the club. Also as part of this program they will be expected to volunteer at an aquatic event (club, county or regional) over the coming 12 months.
 
The cost for participating in the whole Young Volunteer Programme is £20, and all young people who complete the programme will receive a polo shirt and certificate.

Training provided during the programme includes;
– ASA Young Aquatic Helper Certificate
– ASA Timekeepers Course
– Emergency First Aid and CPR (St John’s ambulance)
– Club Matters
– Bespoke course? Possibly on the use of social media for clubs. Open to suggestions.
