What a fantastic first couple of days competition at the Belper Marlin club championships.
Over 150 swimmers took part in the races aged from 5 to 55. This is a huge increase in numbers competing on last year where about 120 swimmers took part.
There were some excellent performances at all ages but I was delighted to see the tremendous strength in depth in the very youngest age groups especially the 9 and unders.Thanks must go to the promotors , Richard Oram and Paul Horobin and all those parent volunteers who helped out.
We had some wonderful feedback from reception at Alfreton who commented that so may of our swimmers were polite on arriving at the pool, so well done to everyone, and enjoy the final session next weekend.
