Regular training sessions are held at Belper on Friday and Sunday evenings, with additional sessions by invitation on Monday & Wednesday evenings. The Disabled and Learn to Swim programmes take place in Heanor on Thursday evening (see swimming times). We pride ourselves on being a family-oriented club - all of our teachers, coaches and committee members are parents (or occasionally grandparents) of swimmers at the club. We have worked hard to establish a real team-identity at galas, with the swimmers smartly turned out in Club colours giving mutual support to their team mates. The Club shop stocks a number of items bearing the 'Belper Marlin' brand, including T-Shirts, Towels, Costumes, Kit-Bags and Caps. We encourage parent participation, and we are grateful for the many parents who help out at galas and time trials with timekeeping, stewarding and officiating duties.
