Arena Rd 2.. Report..

Well what an absolutely Fantastic performance the Mighty Marlins put on last night in Stafford.

Round 2 of the Arena and we were drawn against Shrewsbury,Wantage,City of Coventry B, Cheltenham and our local rivals City of Derby B.

With City of Derby leading the way right up to event 42 The Mighty Marlins flicked between 3rd and 2nd holding off the other 4 Clubs and then the assault started finishing the last 8 events in true Marlin style with; 

3 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd,1 x 4th & 1 x 5th meant at the end of the event the Mighty Marlins had reduced the 8 point deficit.

Final Scores:

5th Cheltenham : 132

4th Shrewsbury: 158

3rd Coventry B: 173

2nd Wantage: 181

1st City of Derby & Belper Marlin: 200

However;

Winners on the Night on 1st Place Count back went to City of Derby B: 14 v 13

Overall League Postions will be published shortly along with the Final Rd Draw and Venue.

The Final Team is far from finalised and places are still up for grabs so over this weekend and the DASA LC meet swimmers at BMSC need to swim fast.

It’s going to be a Fantastic Last Gala  with BMSC in a Great postion to challenge for the Title of Division 2 Champions.
