Arena Round Up Gala 3.

Well done to everyone who competed in any round of the Arena league this year and especially those who competed over the weekend at Leamington.  

As ever we had raucous support from our travelling fans and a great team spirit on poolside. 

 

We had 5 Winners last night, 

 

· Joshua Horobin Open Breaststroke,  

· Phoebe Barden 11 y/o Freestyle, 

· Casper Raynard 13 y/o Freestyle

· Boys 13 y/o Freestyle team.

 

However the 5th Winner was Belper Marlin SC Team. This includes swimmers , parents, coaches, helpers, Committee and anyone else who helps and volunteers at the club, because although it was finally not enough to keep us in the Premier League, we have spent the past 2 years there competing with and at times beating some of the bigger City clubs in the West Midlands as well as an occasional World record holder. 

 

For a small town on the out skirts of the Peak District we have punched above our weight and will continue to do so over the coming years. 

 

So from myself and all the Coaching team WELL DONE , you’ve been fantastic. 

 

Have a Great Christmas, but don’t let you fitness slip, we have counties in Feb, so if not swimming don’t forget Christian’s 5-4-3-2-1 land training sets and do try to attend the sessions that are available over the festive season.
