A great way to start back after the summer holidays Belper Marlins won the September round of the 4 Towns Gala @ Uttoxeter with 17 victories from the 44 events and so many personal best times that we ended up with 7 speeding tickets.. Belper ran out Victorious with 120 points Dove Valley (2nd) 114 Leek (3rd) 94 Ashbourne (4th) 78.

It was good to see th 9y/o team doing well with good swims from novices Dean Thurnham, Oliver Dann, Phoebe Barden and Eleanor Mosely.

All age groups were strong and this showed in the final exciting event of the evening when 1 swimmer male and female from all ages swims in the Cannon Event which Belper won by a good distance- well don’t to all who competed so well.

 

So its all set for a great last round at Ashbourne on November 2nd.. Lets light it up Marlins..
