Marlin swimmers were on top form at the county champs
They achieved a 70.5{049a3929933ec48437eb79fbb91c0c269071f432db20c2a31d6158f123ca9744} pb rate throughout all the individual events
Individually there were 25 gold medals 32 silver and 26 bronze with 158 top 6 places over all.
Over all there were 27 gold 34 silver and 27 bronze with more medal positions than 4th-6th. The previous highest gold medal achievement was 15 in 2011
The number of gold medals was particularly pleasing but is dependent on who is swimming in each age group.
Just as pleasing was the total number of top 6 places and total medals individually which I feel is a better reflection of squad performance and strength in depth.
Maddie Shrimpling broke the Championship best time in 14y/o 50m brs in winning this event and is also close to a National time on the 100m Brs
The final day was county teams and as ever was action packed noisy and extremely busy. The 11/12 boys showed their amazing strength in depth by winning both of their teams while the 2nd team gained a bronze and 4th place in the same event. The 1st team won the medley by an amazing 9 seconds.
The support throughout was fantastic and extremely loud!
Well done to all who swam, helped , shouted, coached , supported , officiated and who helped to make the 3 weekends such a success again
We'd love to have you with us
